JESSICA Simpson is keen to lose her baby weight.

The star — who gave birth to her first daughter, Maxwell Drew, earlier this month and has a $4 million endorsement deal with Weight Watchers — is “determined” and “excited” to get back into shape.

“As soon as Jessica heals from the C-section, she is extremely determined to get back in the gym and work out,” a source said.

“She wants to show the world and is excited to do it.”

Since announcing that she and her fiance Eric Johnson were expecting their first child October 31, the 31-year-old singer has been under scrutiny over her pregnancy weight gain.

Now, the 5ft 3in TV star, who admitted to weighing 170 pounds when she posed nude and pregnant for the April issue of Elle, needs to slim down over the next few months to fulfill her contractual obligations.

She admitted to experiencing  junk-food pregnancy cravings for snacks including Laffy Taffy, buttered Pop Tarts, and Kraft macaroni cheese with Lawry’s seasoning salt.

A source familiar with the diet plan company’s negotiations revealed the stakes are high for their agreement.

“She’ll have to meet the weight-loss goals for the deal to go through. She hasn’t chosen a trainer yet,” said the source.

“In fact, she hasn’t even thought about working out for a year. But if she wants this, she’ll need to work out a good five times a week.”

The Rosalie Hale hottie was joined by husband Paul McDonald and their two German Shepherds as the happy family grabbed a patio table at Sun Cafe.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old actress recently told Celebuzz that she’s feeling pressure to start a family with her hubby because he’s apparently got baby fever.

Of her “American Idol” contestant hubby’s hankering for a little one, Nikki dished, “They (babies) are more on the brain for Paul than they are from me,” adding, “Paul is from the South so all of his friends are having babies. He looks at me all the time and goes ‘Should we just do this?’ I’m like, yeah. Maybe in a little bit.”

DONNA Summer has died at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer.

A statement from Summer’s family says “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”

“Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time,” the statement continued.

Summer — whose hits include I Fell Love, Last Dance and MacArthur Park — had attempted to keep the extent of her illness from fans and was recently trying to finish up her latest album.

Donna was a five-time Grammy Award winner and the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the US Billboard chart.

She also charted four number-one singles in the United States within a thirteen-month period.

Donna — who was born LaDonna Adrian Gaines in 1948 — married actor Helmuth Sommer in 1973 before giving birth to the couple’s daughter Mimi later that year.

Although the marriage crumbled in 1975, she kept an altered version of her ex’s surname to use as her stage name. She married Brooklyn Dreams musician Bruce Sudano in 1980 and the couple went on to have two daughters, Brooklyn, born in 1981 and Amanda the following year.

In 1994, the family moved from Los Angeles to Nashville where Donna took time out from showbusiness to focus on painting but had recently returned to the recording studio.

The country darling was spotted out on a lunch date with Foster The People frontman Mark Foster at Caffe Roma in Beverly Hills on Thursday (May 17).

Trying to keep their day of togetherness out of the spotlight, Mark quickly parted from Taylor as the paparazzi arrived on the scene at the Italian eatery.

The lunch outing comes just as it was announced that Miss Swift is donating $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.

The donation made by the country cutie marks the largest grant given to the museum by an artist, and the money is said to help fund an exhibit and classroom space dubbed as the “Taylor Swift Education Center” – which is expected to open in 2014.

Of the sizable gift, museum director, Kyle Young, said, “It will allow us to do what we do better, serve more people, develop new programs and I’m happy to say that as we talked through this opportunity with Taylor, she very much wants to be involved in an advisory capacity in what we do. Is there a better person out there who’s in touch with a young audience?”

Performers include RZA (who will also curate the festival’s 36 Chambers Stage), Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube, Mac Miller, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Atmosphere, Missy Elliott and Timbaland, Redman and Method Man, Nas, Yelawolf, Kendrick Lamar, Dipset, Salt-N-Pepa, Tyga and more.

Bone Thugs will perform their 1995 album “E. 1999 Eternal” in full, while Redman and Method Man will perform their 1999 album “Blackout!” in its entirety.

Presale will start this Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m. PT. General sale will follow the next day, May 19, at 10 a.m. PT.

(EW.com) — Betty White’s recent roast was handled with more delicacy than most.

After all, America’s adopted grandmother is 90 years old. That said, she’s still intimidating, considering her boundless energy and eighth-decade career resurgence. Indeed, even Uggie from “The Artist” showed signs of stage fright during an interview with roastmaster Barbara Walters. From the red carpet to the roasting dais, the stars mostly kept it clean for the beatific blonde, but never fear. I’ll skip the sanitized bits and get right to the good stuff. Click through to find out who was best, worst, and most surprising at White’s roast.

Most pleasant surprise: Bethenny Frankel. That’s not to say the Skinnygirl’s jokes lacked bite. She ran down a list of things she and White have in common. Among them, alcohol: “I invented the Skinnygirl Margarita. She invented Prohibition.” Still, it was nice to see the reality maven use her razor tongue to get a laugh instead of to bust her husband’s b***s. Even better, before Frankel even began, White asked to borrow the youngster’s sky-high stiletto, pointed at the heel, looked at the audience, and improvised, “This is longer than most of the men here.” Zing!

Least pleasant surprise: Lisa Lampanelli. And I mean that as a compliment. The brassy comic, who was just fired from “The Celebrity Apprentice,” showed up unannounced to school the rest of the roasters on how an insult is really dished out.

Most cringe-inducing roast: I love “The Office’s” Oscar Nuñez, but his out-of-nowhere jokes about how the last living “Golden Girl” is a racist abortion addict were met with uncomfortable silence. He would have done better to give White the same lap dance he gave to Sandra Bullock in “The Proposal.”

Go-to audience morale booster: Abe Vigoda reaction shots. Obviously.

Best topical references

– There were not one, not two, but three shout-outs to John Travolta’s recent sex scandal, the best of which was in a pre-taped bit by David Letterman. In his “Top 10 Little Known Facts About Betty White,” No. 4 was “Has been known to make inappropriate advances on male masseurs.”

– Joy Behar joked that Walters “tried to turn on ["View" panelist] Elisabeth Hasselbeck by dressing up as Mitt Romney” and “tying the family dog to the roof of the car.”

– Roast fixture Jeffrey Ross called White “the only person who truly saw Titanic in 3-D” and said that she thought “50 Shades of Grey” was about her hair…down there.

Requisite Kardashian reference: About White’s Snickers Super Bowl ad, Ross quipped that he “thought Kim Kardashian was the only one who got famous for putting chocolate in her mouth.”

Oddest musical interlude: Liza Minnelli sang a penis-pun-filled riff on Cole Porter’s “You’re the Top.” That is all.

Classiest act: Walters. She summed it up best with her opening jab: “Yesterday, I was talking to the president of the United States. Today I’m talking to a bunch of second-rate comedians and a dog.” Walters stuck to “This is what it’s come to” eye rolls and dry-as-a-bone jokes over the tawdry topics that tend to populate these ceremonies. Speaking of which…

Least surprising joke trend: “Betty White is an old slut.” These words were never actually uttered, of course, but the writing was all over the wall. Not to say the jokes weren’t hilarious. Some highlights:

– Walters, in a rare copulation joke: “[Betty was] the first woman to do Shakespeare in the Globe Theater — literally, she did him in the balcony.”

– Hot in Cleveland costar Jane Leeves: “Betty is so old, she babysat Larry King. [Valerie Bertinelli on seeing King on the dais: "Oh, I thought he was a leftover Halloween decoration."]

– Larry King: “Betty, at your age, it’s a fine line between a roast and a cremation…. Betty is so old, she remembers the first days of Pompeii. She’s so old, she thinks I’m jail bait.”

– Lampanelli: “Betty is a Renaissance woman — she was born in 1543…. On her first game show, the grand prize was fire.”

– Ross: “The Friars Club is the only place where Betty can meet older men. Who did your make-up? Tim Burton? Where do you shop? Forever 71?… More men have died on top of Betty [who had three husbands], than Mount Everest. Her tramp stamp is in Sanskrit.”

- Freddie Roman: “The Last Supper was the first roast you attended.”

Best passive-aggressive retaliation: Rounding out the ceremony, White skipped the traditional chance to fire back at her roasters (because Lampanelli “stole all [her] material”). Instead, she gave a grandma-appropriate speech, complete with backhanded compliments like, “I really had a good time…and I didn’t expect to.” Touché, Betty, touché.

KELLY Preston isn’t going anywhere.

Despite rumors about her husband‘s alleged extra-marital affairs and liaisons with numerous men, sources close to the star insist Preston will be standing by her man.

“Kelly has endured rumors about John’s sexuality for years,” said one insider. “She has learned to ignore them.

“She’s made of sterner stuff. She and John have been through so much together. I don’t for one second believe the rumors she wants to divorce him. Kelly’s not going anywhere.”

In recent weeks, a string of sexual harassment allegations have been lobbed against the actor.

John Doe No. 1 alleged, in court papers, the Hollywood star groped him during a massage session in Beverly Hills in January, while John Doe No. 2 claimed that Travolta rubbed his leg, touched his genitals and tried to initiate sex at a private appointment at an Atlanta hotel on January 28.

John Doe No. 1 and attorney Okorie Okorocha parted ways Friday and withdrew their suit after Travolta presented contradictory evidence. However, he may still pursue his case against the actor having hired a new attorney, Gloria Allred.

“We believe that the lawsuit should be filed in another court and, therefore, the lawsuit that was on file was dismissed without prejudice,” Allred told CNN.

“We will be conferring with our client regarding what will happen next in this case.”

Last year, it was claimed Travolta tried to seduce a waiter during a night out with Preston.

American tabloid the National Enquirer reported at the time that, “When John learned his studly server was an aspiring actor, he asked what projects he’d worked on, who represented him, etc. – and then flashed that award-winning smile and asked, ‘Could you give me your phone number? I might be able to help you out’.”

The report says the waiter handed Travolta a pen and they chatted a good 10 minutes as the star jotted his info and promised to phone.

“The waiter told me it really bothered him that Kelly never even looked up at him — not once!” a source said.

Back in 2010, Travolta’s longtime pal Carrie Fisher seemed to out the star as gay.

In an interview with gay mag The Advocate, Fisher discussed Travolta’s sexuality and why she thinks he’s still in the closet.

“Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care,” she said of the sexuality speculation.

“Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, Travolta tried to give his Grease costar Jeff Conaway oral sex while he was sleeping.

According to Conaway’s former fiancée Vikki Lizzi, Travolta tried to perform the act at Conaway’s home in the 1990s.

She said that her partner, who played Kenickie in the 1978 hit movie, was so upset with the incident it ended his long-term friendship with the star.

She said Conaway, who appeared in Grease on Broadway with Travolta before the pair were cast in the film, made the claim in a suicide note.

It was left, she said, after a failed bid to kill himself in 2006. He died last May, aged 60, from complications of pneumonia.

She also alleged that Conaway said Travolta, 58, Preston were locked in a sham marriage.

“Jeff told me that John and Kelly’s marriage was an arrangement,” she said.

“Jeff said that Kelly knows that John is gay, and that’s why she’s OK with it.”

Another source alleged in Star magazine that Preston signed a contract with Travolta when they were wed, though the source did not know its details.

But Kelly remains un-fazed.

“Even if John is gay,” the insider said, “she still loves him and he has her unconditional support.”
