John Lennon’s killer, Mark David Chapman, is due to have a release conference as early as Tuesday, officials have revealed.
New York Department of Corrections mouthpiece Linda Foglia pronounced a 57-year-old was scheduled to be interviewed by members of a release house this week.
A preference is expected to be done on either to giveaway Chapman – who is adult for release for a seventh time – by Thursday or Friday.
Chapman shot Lennon in Dec 1980 outward a Manhattan unit building where a former Beatle lived.
He was condemned in 1981 to 20 years to life in jail after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
Chapman was eliminated in May from a Attica Correctional Facility in western New York to a circuitously Wende Correctional Facility.
Both are limit security. The jail complement does not divulge because inmates are transferred.
Chapman was denied release for a sixth time in Sep 2010.
